About the flag

Ukraine's flag is two equal horizontal bands: blue on top and yellow below. The colours are often described as a blue sky above golden fields of wheat, a picture of the country's farmland. The blue and yellow have long been used in Ukrainian heraldry, and the flag was formally adopted in 1992.
