About the flag

Slovakia's flag is three horizontal stripes of white, blue and red, with the coat of arms set towards the flagpole: a white double cross standing on three blue hills on a red shield. The hills are often linked to the Tatra, Fatra and Mátra mountain ranges. The coat of arms was added in 1992, partly to tell the flag apart from Russia's.

Russia's flag has the same stripes with no coat of arms.

Slovakia
Slovenia

Slovenia's coat of arms is smaller, sits in the top corner and shows a white mountain and three gold stars. The names are easy to mix up too: Slovenia borders Italy and Austria, Slovakia borders Poland and Hungary.
