About the flag

Serbia's flag is three horizontal stripes of red, blue and white, with the coat of arms set towards the flagpole: a white double-headed eagle on a red shield, under a crown. The tricolour dates from the 19th century, when Serbia gained autonomy and then independence from the Ottoman Empire.
