About the flag
Jordan's flag has three horizontal stripes of black, white and green, with a red triangle at the flagpole holding a white seven-pointed star. The stripes and triangle come from the flag of the Arab Revolt of 1916. The star's seven points are said to stand for the seven verses of the first chapter of the Quran.
