About the flag
Canada's flag is red and white, with a red eleven-pointed maple leaf on a white square between two red bands. The maple leaf had been a Canadian symbol since the 18th century, and the flag was adopted on 15 February 1965, now celebrated as National Flag of Canada Day. Red and white became Canada's official colours in 1921.
