About the flag
Sweden's flag is blue with a yellow Nordic cross, set towards the flagpole. The colours are thought to come from the national coat of arms, three gold crowns on a blue field, and the flag has been used since at least the 16th century. Sweden celebrates National Day and Flag Day together on 6 June.
