About the flag
Gambia's flag has three horizontal stripes of red, blue and green, separated by two thin white stripes. The blue stripe represents the Gambia River, which runs through the middle of this long, narrow country. Red is usually read as the sun and the savanna, green as the forests and farmland, and white as unity and peace.
