About the flag
Vietnam's flag is red with a large yellow five-pointed star in the centre. Red stands for revolution and the blood shed for independence, and the five points of the star are often linked to the workers, farmers, soldiers, intellectuals and young people who build the country. It became the national flag of reunified Vietnam in 1976.
